The home state fans will have at least one more Jersey boy too root for on the upcoming UFC card in Newark as Kurt “Batman” Pellegrino has been confirmed for a fight on the March 27 card.

Pellegrino’s involvement with the card was confirmed by sources close to the fighter to MMAWeekly.com on Saturday.

At this time, there has been no word on who will face Pellegrino in a lightweight bout on the card, but more fight announcements are expected from the UFC in the coming days.

The New Jersey based fighter was originally set to compete on the season 10 “Ultimate Fighter” finale show in December against Frankie Edgar, but a back injury sidelined Pellegrino and formed him off the card.

Now back and healthy, Pellegrino looks to build on his current 3-fight win streak in the UFC when he returns to action in March.

Stay tuned to MMAWeekly.com for more information on Pellegrino’s opponent as it becomes available.
