Press Release
King of the Cage returns to Soboba Casino Friday, October 13th with BOOYAA. With yet another fight card full of the top talent in mixed martial arts, King of the Cage is Knocking out the Competition. See 36 of the most decorated fighters from southern California and across the nation step into the steel cage for an incredible night of fights.

In the main event, former King of the Cage World Bantamweight Champion Charles Valencia takes on the Shawn Bias, the #4 contender. Valencia recently made a return to competition after a two and a half year layoff. He challenged present Bantamweight World Champion Urijah Faber in May in King of the Cage: PREDATOR, but was defeated by submission. The loss did not sit well with the formerly undefeated champion, so he has returned to competition to show that he has the submission wrestling skills to be the best Bantamweight fighter on the planet. Team Fury fighter Shawn Bias is on a six win streak, including a first round TKO win over veteran Al Garza in June in King of the Cage: MANGLER. Bias is an explosive wrestler who’s not afraid to trade, and with his steadily improving jujitsu skills, will be a force to reckon with.

Also in the main event, former world champion Muay Thai kickboxer William Sriyapai faces New Mexico’s Donald Sanchez. Sriyapai, training out of Body Shots gym, enters the cage with back to back wins in King of the Cage. His most recent win came on August 4th’s RAPID FIRE fight card, knocking out fan favorite Albert Hill. Sanchez, a veteran of the New Mexico amateur circuit, made his professional debut at middleweight against Johnny Vasquez. He now returns to his natural fighting weight of 170 pounds, with the aim of securing his first professional win.

In a heavyweight main event bout, ‘God’s Gladiator’ Jerry Davis is matched up with the up and coming Manny Rodriguez. Davis, the King of the Cage #2 Heavyweight contender, is undefeated in the cage, with all of his wins coming in the first round. His most recent victory came in June at King of the Cage: MANGLER where he defeated Alan Zunner by TKO. Rodriguez, the King of the Cage #3 Heavyweight contender, is coming off back to back wins, most recently defeating Brian Sesma by TKO in the first round. The winner of this heavyweight matchup should be no more than one match away from a shot at the King of the Cage Heavyweight World Championship. KOTC fans are going to have a special treat when the two women step into the cage and mix it up. Both Rebecca Ryan Long of Oceanside and Casey Noland of San Luis Obispo are expected to give the fans a fight night to remember.
