Friday night’s World Series of Fighting 33 main event has been canceled due to medical concerns about lightweight title challenger Ozzy Dugulubgov.
Dugulubgov made weight on Thursday, and was slated to challenge undefeated lightweight champion Justin Gaethje in the WSOF 33 main event at Kansas City Memorial Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.

WSOF officials told MMAWeekly.com that Dugulubgov was suffering from headaches and his blood pressure began to drop. Out of an abundance of caution, WSOF officials decided to pull the fight and send Dugulubgov to the hospital for evaluation.
Dugulubgov announced that he was out of the fight and headed to the hospital in a post to his Instagram account, saying, “All might is in God’s hands. It is with deep regret, I will not be competing in WSOF 33 tonight. My sincere apologies first and foremost to my opponent Justin Gaethje, WSOF, family, friends, and fans. We are on the way to the hospital now and inshaAllah (God Willing) will figure out what is wrong. Once again, I am truly sorry for this incredibly unfortunate circumstance. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart for your unwavering support.”
The WSOF 33 fight card was supposed to feature two title bouts. The cancelation of Gaethje vs. Dugulubgov moves the light heavyweight championship featuring David Branch putting his belt on the line against Vinny Magalhaes into the main even slot.
