Julie Kedzie Welcomes Aleksandra Albu at UFC Fight Night 33 in Brisbane

29-Julie-Kedzie-UFC-on-FOX-8-w2The UFC Fight Night 33 roster has been growing by the day. The latest addition to the fight card is a women’s bout between Julie Kedzie and Aleksandra Albu.

UFC officials announced the bout on Tuesday.

Kedzie (16-12) has been fighting for nearly a decade, but has gone through a rough patch recently. She lost her last two Strikeforce fights and her Octagon debut. Germaine de Randamie defeated her by split decision at UFC on Fox 8 in July.

Kedzie needs to get back on the winning track in a bad way, but will face no easy task in Australia, despite her opponent being a UFC newcomer.

Albu (5-0) has much less experience than Kedzie, but the undefeated Russian is a former competitive bodybuilder and powerlifter known for her strength, as well as her stand-up and Judo skills.

A five-round, heavyweight non-title fight between Mark Hunt and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva headlines the UFC Fight Night 33 fight card on Dec. 7 in Brisbane, Australia. The fight airs on Dec. 6 in the United States due to the time difference.
