Top ranked UFC flyweight contender Joseph Benavidez sits in a tough position in the 125-pound division. He’s sits atop the division’s rankings but has previously lost to champion Demetrious Johnson twice.
During the UFC Fight Night 82: Hendricks vs. Thompson broadcast on Saturday, Ultimate Fighting Championship announced that Johnson would defend his title against unbeaten Henry Cejudo at UFC 197 on April 23.
Following his fifth consecutive win at the event in Las Vegas on Saturday, Benavidez said he doesn’t think Cejudo deserves a title shot.
