Joe Warren vs. Nick Kirk Headlines Bellator 101

September 20, 2013

Bellator MMA LogoAfter a slight delay, “The Baddest Man on the Planet” is back as Joe Warren will return to the Bellator cage and headline Bellator’s September 27 event from Portland’s Rose Quarter. The event will feature the opening round of the Bellator Lightweight Tournament, along with some of Portland’s premier talent. Warren will begin his journey through The Toughest Tournament In Sports in his quest for another Bellator Title as he takes on Nick Kirk.

Warren and Kirk were originally scheduled to face off at Bellator 98 on Sept. 7, but Warren was pulled from the card after not being medically cleared to fight.

Bellator 101 will also showcase a preliminary card of Portland’s top athletes. Portland’s own Nathan Coy will make his Bellator debut and face Andy Uhrich, while Brent Primus looks to maintain his undefeated record in a fight against Scott Thometz. Primus has won all of his professional fights by first round submission.
