Jim Hettes vs. Steven Siler on Deck for UFC on FX 4

Steven Siler TUF 14
Steven Siler will look to keep his current run going in the UFC’s featherweight division when he faces rising prospect Jim “The Kid” Hettes at UFC on FX 4.

Sources close to the match-up confirmed the fight to MMAWeekly.com that it has been verbally agreed to for the June 22 show in Atlantic City, N.J.

Everyone keeps underestimating Siler as an underdog, but the Utah native has shown thus far in his UFC career that he carries an awfully deadly bite.

After surprising former WEC competitor Micah Miller to gain entry into The Ultimate Fighter Season 14 house, Siler has subsequently picked up wins over Josh Clopton and then Cole Miller at UFC on FX 2.

Now the Pit Elevated fighter will face a stern test in another rising star out of the featherweight division. With a perfect 10-0 record, Jim “The Kid” Hettes has been extremely impressive in his young UFC career.

Hettes dominated former Ultimate Fighter cast member Alex “Bruce Leroy” Caceres in his UFC debut, and then proceeded to do the same thing to another TUF alum in Nam Phan at UFC 141 last December.

Now the Pennsylvania native who trains out of New Jersey will head down to Atlantic City for his next fight against another TUF fighter in Steven Siler.
