Quinton Jackson mentioned the fight in an interview with CBS 2 in Los Angeles earlier this month, but the UFC today made it official. Skipping over UFC 74, which is expected for Aug. 25 in Las Vegas, UFC.com added UFC 75 to its schedule including a fight between UFC Champion Jackson and Pride Champion Dan Henderson. It is expected to be the first ever light heavyweight title unification bout.

UFC 75 will be held Sept. 8 in London at the O2 Arena.

Also listed for UFC 75 is a bout between popular British fighter and The Ultimate Fighter Season 3 winner Michael Bisping and fellow Season 3 competitor Matt Hamill. Despite media reports that the UFC was scrapping Hamill in favor of UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock for the fight, that scenario never materialized.

Previously announced for UFC 75 is the participation of Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, who is coming off of a knockout loss at the foot of Gabriel Gonzaga. His opponent has not been officially announced, but is expected to be Frenchman Cheick Kongo.

Other rumored participants include Jess Liaudin, Alessio Sakara, and Denis Siver.
