O’Grady-Fields bout headlines ICE 23 event

CINCINNATI — Dom O’Grady is quickly becoming known as the small-show Jeremy Horn.

Although he doesn’t have the bodybuilder physique, he has been very effective using his improved standup and slick ground skills. O’Grady recently dropped to the 170 division, earning a win in his first bout.

On Saturday, O’Grady (4-2, all in International Combat Events competitions) will face Ryan Fields (1-1) in the main event of ICE 23 at Metropolis Nightclub in Cincinnati.

Fields, who trains under instructor Neil Rowe, the striking coach for UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin, scored an impressive win over previously undefeated Brandon Forbes in the last ICE event.

Tickets start at $25 and are available online at www.cincymetropolis.com … Doors open at 7 p.m. with the first bout scheduled for 8:30 p.m. For more information, check out the event website at www.myspace.com/iceextremefighting.
