Despite all the hype surrounding his entrance into the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Heath Herring fell flat in his UFC debut. He seemed to want to engage and keep the fight standing, but his opponent, Jake O’Brien was able to take him to the mat and foil his game plan. This Saturday night, Herring gets his chance at redemption, and in his home state no less, when he returns to the Octagon to face Ultimate Fighter heavyweight finalist Brad Imes.

Also on the UFC card at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas is Marcus Davis. Since losing to Melvin Guillard on the Ultimate Fighter 2 finale, Davis has been on a seven-fight winning streak. His last two fights were wins over Forrest Petz and Shonie Carter in the UFC. Saturday night he faces one of his toughest challenges yet in Texan Pete Spratt.

Kenny Florian lost his last fight in the Octagon in a bid for the UFC Lightweight Championship. He went five rounds before giving up the decision to current champion Sean Sherk. Thursday night, Florian returns to the Octagon to face Dokonjonosuke Mishima as part of the live telecast of UFC Fight Night on Spike TV.

Tonight Heath Herring, Marcus Davis, and Kenny Florian all join Damon & Jeff LIVE on MMAWeeklyRadio.com at 6pm PT / 9pm ET.
