This year’s 154-pound tournament is not as stacked as last year’s tourney due to the fact that it’s missing some key players. As K-1’s Sadaharu Tanigawa commented, Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto would not be participating in the tournament due to his training for the Beijing Olympics, and Genki Sudo would not be participating due to an injury that he suffered in training.
