MMAWeekly.com has learned that there is a proposed fight featuring Murilo “Ninja” Rua vs Dan Henderson in the works. The fight would be for Henderson’s title in the newly created 185 pound division.

MMAWeekly.com spoke this weekend in Hawaii with a few members from the Brazilian team confirmed that a deal could be done by the end of the month. Murilo “Ninja” Rua has competed most of his career in the 205 pound weight class. His last fight was a win against Murad Chunkaiev by heel hook at PRIDE 30. The fight took place last October and was Murilo’s first fight since his loss to Quinton Jackson.

Dan Henderson won the newly created 185 pound title by defeating Murilo Bustamante by a controversial split decision on New Year’s Eve in Tokyo, Japan. If the fight does get signed at the end of the month, it will be Henderson’s first ever title defense in new 185 pound division.
