Grace Tourinho was introduced as Managing Director of UFC Brazil in an announcement made by UFC president Dana White on Saturday evening.
The announcement of Tourinho as the head of the UFC’s Brazilian operation came during the UFC Fight Night 32 post-fight press conference.
“We always go after the sharpest, strongest people,” White said. “She’s a stud.”
Tourinho has worked at companies such as AmBev and Tickets for Fun, among others. She is the latest hire of executives commissioned to run the organization’s international operations.
The new Managing Director of UFC Brazil said she was pleased with the fight card that took place Saturday night at the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goiás, Brazil. The card accomplished what Tourinho said was a goal of reaching out to the fan base.
“Our purpose is to take the UFC closer to our fans,” Tourinho said.
UFC Fight Night 32 featured a main event between Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson. Belfort finished Henderson with a head-kick knockout in the first round.
