Lightweight standouts Joe Stevenson and Spencer Fisher are expected to meet at UFC 104 on Oct. 24, MMAWeekly.com has learned from sources close to the fight. Though bout agreements have not been signed as of yet, both fighters have agreed to the contest.

UFC 104 is set for the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It is the promotion’s second trip to the L.A. Lakers home after UFC 60 in May 2006 featuring Matt Hughes vs. Royce Gracie.

Fisher (23-4) is currently riding a three-fight win streak capped off by a recent victory over former UFC lightweight contender Caol Uno at UFC 99. After faltering against top-tier lightweights Hermes Franca and Frank Edgar, Fisher is rebuilding towards a contender slot. He is 8-3 in UFC competition.

Stevenson (30-10) recently got back on the winning tract at “The Ultimate Fighter” 9 finale, eking out a decision over Nate Diaz over three hard-fought rounds. After a quick rise to the top of the lightweight division, Stevenson lost a title bid against B.J. Penn at UFC 80 and struggled with future contenders in subsequent bouts against Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez. He is 7-4 inside the Octagon.
