TORONTO, OCT. 2 — You have seen it in Ong Bak. You might have heard about it, or even seen it on TV— the furious punches, crushing elbow strikes, deadly kicks, powerful grappling and shattering knees.

But nothing compares to see it all executed to loud cheers and the roar of a live crowd. This weekend is when over 500 spectators will experience it all in person. For the first time in Ontario and Toronto you will see 16 women compete in an all female Muay Thai Competition.

When: Oct. 2, 2005 @ 3:30 p.m.

Where: York Event Theatre, 101 Eglinton Ave. East

About the Chicks that Kick

Chicks that Kick is the brained child of five female Thai boxers in Toronto. Muay Thai. The mission of Chicks That Kick is two-fold. First, we aim to support, promote and create more opportunities for Ontario women to compete in Amateur Muay Thai. Second, we contribute to our community by donating proceeds to worthy charities or organizations.
