The featherweights and bantamweights are coming to the “Ultimate Fighter”.

UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby tweeted the news on Wednesday stating that the former WEC featured divisions will get their chance at the Spike TV reality show, with tryouts starting later this month.

“Next TUF tryouts will be 135 lbs & 145 lbs in NJ,” Shelby tweeted. “Marriott Newark Liberty International March 21.”

This will mark the first time the featherweights and bantamweights have been featured on the show, which will presumably be season 14 of the “Ultimate Fighter”.

Past seasons have had tryouts in multiple divisions and cut down to only one by the time the show’s selection process actually begins, so while fighters from both weight classes are being tested, only one may end up making the show.

The 13th season of the “Ultimate Fighter” will kick off on March 30 with Brock Lesnar and Junior Dos Santos serving as coaches over a team of welterweight fighters.

With season 14 starting tryouts in late March, the show would likely begin airing in fall 2011.
