RIVERSIDE, IOWA – Shonie Carter won his second fight in as many tries, since he last fought in the UFC Octagon. Carter is still under contract with the UFC, but has been fighting on other shows while waiting for his next UFC opponent.

On Saturday night in Riverside, Iowa, Carter was taken into the second round by Josh Taibl before Taibl eventually submitted to the punishment that Carter was inflicting on him.

With back-to-back non-UFC victories, Carter is awaiting a call back to the Octagon.
