Elvis Sinosic has been signed to replace Chute Boxe fighter Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos at the Dec. 1 Cage Rage event in London. He steps in to face British fighter Paul Cahoon.

Cage Rage officials indicated that Santos withdrew due to weight cutting issues, but assured that he would return to fight on the promotion’s March event.

Sinosic, an Australian fighter, last appeared on British soil as the opponent for Michael Bisping at Ultimate Fighting Championship 70 in what was to be a yardstick bout for the upcoming Wolfslair fighter.

Cahoon’s last outing was a measured and mature performance against Mark Epstein en route to securing the Cage Rage British light heavyweight title. Ironically, Sinosic’s last recorded victory was against the same opponent as Cahoon.

This bout should provide an entertaining prelude to the headline match between Xavier Foupa-Pokam and Murilo “Ninja” Rua and completes Cage Rage’s first offering under full backing of ProElite, Inc.

ProElite announced its acquisition of the venerable British promotion in early September.
