Yves Edwards confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that he is set to return to action on Feb. 16 fighting for EliteXC. He will face Edson Berto in a lightweight match-up as part of the main card for the event featuring Kimbo Slice vs. Tank Abbott.

Edwards recently joined forces with American Top Team. Since the move, the former Ultimate Fighting Championship competitor has gone 2-0 with wins over Nick Gonzalez and Alonzo Martinez.

While Edwards was originally slated to face Kyle Bradley as a part of the main card for the Jan. 25 ShoXC event, he has now been moved to the card taking place in Miami, Fla.

Edson Berto made an impressive run with EliteXC, debuting with two impressive wins, but then dropped a fight to eventual 160-pound divisional champion K.J. Noons.

He has since won his last two fights outside of EliteXC with victories over Juan Barrantes and Josh Odom.

The fight will no doubt crown a new contender in the fast-growing EliteXC lightweight division.
