Daniel Cormier will face Ryan Bader at UFC Fight Night New Orleans on June 6, UFC officials announced on Wednesday. The bout will be a five-round main event and featured on FOX Sports 1.
Cormier (15-1) last fought in title fight against Jon Jones, coming up short against the champ in the main event at UFC 182. Cormier took the loss pretty badly, expressing his disappointment in the performance during an emotional post-fight press conference. Against Bader, Cormier will look to rebound from his first career loss.

Bader (19-4) is fresh off a win over Phil Davis at UFC on FOX 14. The win was his fourth in a row, and one over Cormier would arguably catapult him towards the upper end of the 205-pound division.
UFC Fight Night New Orleans will take place at the city’s Smoothie King Center. More fights are expected to be announce in the coming weeks.
