Chute Boxe fighter Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that he would return on Dec. 1 to the Cage Rage promotion. He has signed to fight Golden Glory fighter Paul Cahoon.

Having last fought in April, losing a split decision to James Zikic, Santos will attempt to get back on the winning track against Cahoon.

A British fighter, Cahoon comes off of a unanimous decision victory over Mark Epstein at Cage Rage 22. He has a background in kickboxing that should make for an exciting fight against Santos.

Commenting on the fight, Santos stated, “It is going to be a war. If he is really from kickboxing and if he wants to trade punches, he is going to go down.”

Despite the upcoming bout with Cahoon, Santos indicated that he would also like to rematch Melvin Manhoef, a fighter Santos lost to in early 2006 and whose teammate, Fabio Silva, just lost to on Sept. 22 at Cage Rage 23.

“I do want a rematch and I hope I can make it soon. That fight was a real battle … I want Melvin Manhoef, and now that I am at 185 pounds, I am faster and I have a lot more cardio.”
