Female MMA fighter Cris Cyborg Santos from Chute Boxe academy finally got her VISA and will face Shayna Baszler as part of the second edition of CBS-EliteXC Saturday Night Fights this weekend.

She arrived early to the U.S. this time, staying in Huntington Beach and training with Master Rafael Cordeiro for her fight against Baszler, who comes in with a record of 9-4 with all of her victories coming by submission.

Cyborg, with a professional record of 4-0, is one of the brightest up-and-comers from Chute Boxe and according to her husband, Sengoku MMA fighter Evangelista Cyborg Santos, she is completely ready to fight.

“Cris is ready. We were just waiting for her VISA to put her in the cage again. Now its time to show how strong and skilled she is. I am pretty sure that the U.S will be amazed by her fight,” said Evangelista.

Cris Cyborg is a hybrid fighter from Chute Boxe and her skills are good both in jiu-jitsu and in Muay Thai. “I can’t wait to get inside the cage. There’s a long time since my last fight. I was supposed to fight several times in Canada and the U.S, but some of my opponents turned down the fight in the last hour. I don’t know why.

“But the important thing is that I will be able to fight this time. I am training here in Huntington with some of my Brazilian partners and my coach Rafael Cordeiro and I hope I can make an exciting fight to the audience,” she recently told MMAWeekly.

The opening portion of the event, featuring a heavyweight title fight between Antonio Silva and Justin Eilers, will air on Showtime. The main card, including Cris Cyborg vs. Shayna Baszler, will air on CBS as part of the second edition of CBS-EliteXC Saturday Night Fights on July 26.
