Earlier this week on Monday, Cyborg still had 25 pounds to cut in order to make weight. According to middleweight champ Michael Bisping, Cyborg was running 10 miles a day, in addition to her fight workouts, in order to drop the weight.
Cyborg also reportedly employed birth control pills to help her make weight. The various techniques she utilized were effective, as Cyborg stepped on the scale and hit the 141-pound mark, which was within the one-pound tolerance allowed for her 140-pound catchweight bout. Her opponent, Lina Lansberg, weighed 140 pounds.
One fighter failed to make weight, that being Michel Prazeres. He tipped the scale at 158 pounds, which was two pounds above the allowance for his lightweight bout with Gilbert Burns.
Prazeres was fined 20-percent of his fight purse, which goes to Burns.
