Olympian Daniel Cormier has been added to the upcoming Strikeforce card in Houston where he will take on Jason Riley in an undercard bout on the August 21 show.

Strikeforce made the announcement about the fight on Wednesday.

Since moving to San Jose where he began training with the American Kickboxing Academy, Cormier has amassed a perfect record so far in MMA, piling up 3 wins out of 3 chances.

His first two fights came in Strikeforce before he traveled to Australia just last weekend and picked up a TKO win over Lucas Browne. Cormier has stopped all three opponents so far with KO’s or TKO’s, and only his first professional fight made it out of the first round.

Jason Riley comes into the Strikeforce fight against Cormier with a 7-3 record overall, but got taken out by Devin Cole in :14 seconds in his last fight.

The Ohio based fighter has fought in several regional promotions, and hopes to make a big impression when he faces Cormier on August 21.

The bout between Cormier and Riley will be part of the untelevised undercard for the show that is slated for August 21 in Houston with Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal defending his light heavyweight title against Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante in the main event.
