A lightweight bout is headed for Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey with Conor Heun taking on Ryan Couture.

The fight was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by sources close to the match-up on Monday with bout agreements issued for the March 3 show in Ohio. MMAFighting.com first reported the fight.

Conor Heun will return to action for the first time June 2011 when he earned a win over Magno Almeida, but suffered a damaged arm as a result of the fight. Now the one-time student of Eddie Bravo will look to make it two wins in a row as he faces the son of a legend.

Ryan Couture has made his own way in MMA while following in the footsteps of his father, UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture.

After a slew of amateur fights early in his career, Couture has gone 3-1 during his four-fight pro career. He most recently picked up a win over Maka Watson at Strikeforce Challengers last September.

The new bout between Couture and Heun will likely occupy a slot on the preliminary portion of the show that will air on Showtime Extreme on Saturday, March 3 from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
