Featherweight champion Jose Aldo and interim titleholder Conor McGregor will settle the question about who is the real 145-pound kingpin on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas.
McGregor doesn’t think Aldo will show up, and Aldo predicts that he’ll punish the Irishman in one-sided fashion. Fellow featherweight Clay Guida agrees with Aldo’s assessment of what’s going to happen in the MGM Grand Garden Arena that night.
“I think Aldo is going to knock the snot out of him. I hope he legs kicks him until Conor can’t walk,” Guida said during the UFC Fight Night 77 media day.
Guida doesn’t think McGregor’s winning streak is as impressive as it is promoted, but conceded that McGregor is a skilled fighter.
“Yeah, he can fight, but he hasn’t fought anyone that was ready for a fight. He caught Chad Mendes on two weeks notice. We saw what happened for 10 minutes almost. Chad was pounding his face into the mat,” he said.

Guida believes that McGregor’s achilles heel is a match-up against a wrestler. He believes that McGregor’s win over Mendes was due to the Alpha Male-trained fighter accepting the bout on short notice without having a proper training camp.
“You give him like myself, Chad or Frankie [Edgar] a solid training camp, and people won’t be talking about Conor McGreor anymore,” said Guida.
