HDNet Fights on Saturday announced via its website that rising middleweight talent C.B. Dollaway has suffered an injury. He will be unable to compete in his scheduled Dec. 15 bout against Freddie Espiricueta.

Apparently, Dollaway separated some ribs during training recently.

In his first bout for HDNet Fights on Oct. 13, the two-time All-American collegiate wrestler wasted no time dropping Hans Marrero with a knee to the temple before following him down and finishing him off with punches in just 1:07 of round one.

He is undefeated in mixed martial arts.

Espiricueta also fought on the debut HDNet Fights event in October. He had an exciting back-and-forth battle with Jason House, outlasting his fellow Texan en route to a three-round unanimous decision victory.

According to HDNet Fights, the search for a replacement for Dollaway is currently underway. An announcement should be made shortly.

HDNet Fights returns on Dec. 15 to the American Airlines Center in Dallas for its second event.

Scheduled fight card:
-Jason “Mayhem” Miller vs. Tim Kennedy
-Frank Trigg vs. Edwin Dewees
-Yves Edwards vs. Alonzo Martinez

-Pete Spratt vs. Tristan Yunker
-Patrick Castillo vs. Jay White
-Freddie Espiricueta vs. TBA
