Rory MacDonald asked for it, and now he’ll get his wish.
Following a dominant win over B.J. Penn at UFC on Fox 5, Rory MacDonald wanted a chance to get back the only loss on his record, so now he faces Carlos Condit at UFC 158 headed to Montreal in March.
The card is expected to take place on March 16 with MacDonald vs. Condit being a featured bout on the line-up.
According to the initial report, the fight will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
Condit and MacDonald first met in 2010 at UFC 115. MacDonald controlled most of the first two rounds of the fight with takedowns and ground control, but it wasn’t enough to subdue Condit in the final round.
The “Natural Born Killer” came out guns blazing and didn’t stop until MacDonald’s face was a bloody mess, and the fight was stopped with just seven seconds to go.
Now the two welterweights will meet again, this time in Montreal as the UFC returns to Canada for their first major show on 2013 in the land up north.
