Seven months have passed since the loss to Lawler, and “The Natural Born Killer” decided that he’s not done fighting just yet.
“I think I’ve still got a little bit of time left. I still love what I do, so I decided to give it a little more time,” Condit said during an appearance on this week’s UFC Tonight.

Losing by split decision is always a bitter pill to swallow, especially in a world title fight. Looking back on the heartbreaking loss, Condit still believes that he did enough to take home the belt.
“It was a super-close fight, obviously. I think Robbie definitely had his moments, but if you look at the fight in it’s entirety, I feel like I won the fight,” he said. “Judging is subjective, and two of the judges didn’t have it in my favor that night.”
Condit returns to action in the UFC on Fox 21 main event at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Saturday, taking on third-ranked Demian Maia. Condit believes it’s a match-up that will put him back into the championship mix.
“I feel like a win over Demian Maia puts me right back into title contention.”
