TWC (Sky Channel 427) steps into the Octagon and the world of MMA this coming Friday night at 9pm UK Time with Cagewarriors 5. This show features 2 hours of exciting MMA action including the return of 6 time UFC veteran and UK MMA legend Ian “The Machine” Freeman, Jean Silva and more.

This Friday (20th January 2006) will see another Cagewarriors show on TWC (Sky Channel 427), as they once again dig into their MMA archives to bring you Cagewarriors 5, which took place on the 2nd November 2003 in South Shields.

This show was made famous by the UK return of 6 time UFC veteran Ian “The Machine” Freeman, who took on Keith Dace in the main event of the evening. It also featured an unforgettable war of attrition between John Nicholson and Sandy Geddes, as well as several UK MMA stars such as Jean Silva, Paul Jenkins, Andy Cooper, Abdul Mohamed and many more.

This show will also have various repeat showings during next week, and TWC are making more slots available for Cagewarriors action, which will see a guaranteed monthly “Sunday Supercard” show which will feature a brand new Cagewarriors event as well as their regular Friday Night Slot.

In other Cagewarriors news, Sunday March 5th will now see Cagewarriors “Enter the Wolfslair” at the Olympia in Liverpool and to kick off this new promotion Cagewarriors along with their pro fight team the Wolfslair Gym will be holding an 8 man Welterweight tournament which will be taking place that night. The winner will then face the CWFC Welterweight Champion at Strike Force 6 in May. As always Cagewarriors hope to feature some top European/UK based talent on the show, and the Wolfslair have already put forward Josenildo “Luquinha” Ramarho (6-4-0) as their representative.

Cagewarriors are currently in negotiation to sign at least 2 European based stars and will hope to confirm them very soon.
