Featherweight King of Pancrase Yoshiro Maeda was victorious against Cage Warriors Featherweight Champion Danny Batten in the main event of today’s Pancrase at Korakuen Hall. Maeda won by unanimous decision with scores of 30-27, 30-28 and 30-28.

In the semi main event, Brazilian Top Team fighter Bryan Rafiq knocked out Pancrase veteran Hikaru Sato in the second round of their three round middleweight bout.

Shooto Adds Two More Class-A Bouts to May 18

Shooto has added two more Class-A bouts to round out its May 18 card at Korakuen Hall, which is headlined by ‘Lion’ Takeshi Inoue defending his Shooto Lightweight Championship against Shooto Pacific Rim Lightweight Champion Akitoshi Tamura.

In a Class-A featherweight bout, Kenji Osawa takes on Nova Uniao fighter Marcos Galvao. Osawa is coming off a knockout victory over 2005 Shooto Featherweight Rookie Champion Takeya Mizugaki. Galvao is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Naoya Uematsu at Fury FC 1.

In another Class-A featherweight bout, Killer Bee fighter Atsushi Yamamoto takes on 2004 Shooto Featherweight Rookie Champion Koetsu Okazaki. Yamamoto is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Takeya Mizugaki at Shooto ‘Back to Our Roots’. Okazaki is coming off a unanimous decision victory over So Tazawa at Shooto: GIG West 6.
