A middleweight bout between two newcomers has been added to the UFC on Fuel 1 card with Buddy Roberts meeting Sean Loeffler.
Sources close to the fight confirmed the bout to MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday with verbal agreements in place for the Feb. bout.
Both Roberts and Loeffler are making their respective debuts at the UFC on Fuel 1 show, taking place on Feb 15 in Omaha, Neb.
Sean Loeffler comes to the UFC with a 25-5 record overall and has fought for Bellator Fighting Championships in the past.
Hailing from California, Loeffler went 3-0 in 2011 with three victories all by stoppage in the first round.
MMAWeekly.com first reported on Monday that Team Jackson/Winkeljohn fighter Buddy Roberts had signed with the UFC.
The fighter who trains out of New Mexico from the famed team has won his last five fights in a row, and has fought as hight as heavyweight in the past. Now at a more natural 185lbs, he’ll look to continue that success in the UFC.
The bout between Roberts and Loeffler will be part of the UFC on Fuel 1 undercard.
