Several bouts have been added to Sengoku 4, which takes place on August 24 at the Saitama Super Arena and is highlighted by the first round of the Sengoku lightweight tournament.

In a non-tournament bout, former Pride lightweight champion Takanori Gomi faces off with current DEEP lightweight champion Pang Sung Hwan. Gomi comes off a stoppage victory over Duane “Bang” Ludwig at the first Sengoku show, while Hwan knocked out Kazunori Yokota at DEEP 35 to become the new DEEP lightweight champion.

In the first lightweight tournament bout, Pancrase veteran Satoru Kitaoka takes on Midwest lightweight Clay French. Kitaoka comes off a quick submission victory over K-1 Max veteran Ian Schaffa, while French submitted Jameel Massouh at the first Adrenaline MMA show.

In the second tournament bout, Japanese submission fighter Eiji Mitsuoka takes on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Rodrigo Damn. Mitsuoka comes off a submission victory over Kwang Hee Lee at Sengoku 2, while Damn stopped Jorge Masvidal with strikes at Sengoku 3.

In the third lightweight tournament bout, Cage Force lightweight champion Mizuto Hirota faces off with IFL lightweight champion Ryan Schultz. Hirota recently stopped Tomonari Kanomata at Cage Force 6 to become the Cage Force lightweight champion, while Schultz earned a unanimous decision over Deividas Taurosevicius at the last IFL show.

In the final lightweight tournament bout, former DEEP lightweight champion Kazunori Yokota takes on Slovenian lightweight Bojan Kosednar. Yokota comes off his first loss at DEEP 35, being knocked out by Pang Sung Hwan, while Kosednar was knocked out by Paul Daley at Cage Warriors: Enter the Rough House 7.

Already announced for the event is a heavyweight bout between K-1 veteran Peter Graham and French fighter Moise Rimbon, while UFC veteran Frank Trigg takes on Pride veteran Makoto Takimoto in a middleweight bout.
