Battle for Rome

southeastern fans turned out in throngs at The Forum in Rome, Ga., Saturday
night to see which fighters would reign supreme in Bullet Fight Gear’s newest
production, Battle of Rome IV.

Fights were
just a slice of the action that fans in attendance were treated to, though.

In addition
to the nine fights the crowd witnessed Saturday, nine-time UFC welterweight
champion Matt Hughes was in attendance doing a meet-and-greet and autograph
session promoting his new book “Made in America.” According to Hughes’s website, “Made in America” has
now muscled its way to No. 21 on the New York Times Best Seller’s List.

Baby-Faced Assassin” Josh Barnett also made an appearance at the show and was
greeted warmly by the fans in attendance as he did photo ops and signed
autographs for his grateful followers.

MMA fans
certainly got what they wanted to see in Rome, with only two of the nine fights
of the night going to a decision. In all, Battle of Rome IV was a solid event
that will no doubt continue to progress in the future as the experience levels
of both the promoters and the competitors continues to rise.
