Antonio Banuelos and Chad George will return to WEC action in September as the two bantamweights are set to square off as part of the undercard for the upcoming show in Broomfield, CO as part of WEC 51.

The WEC made the announcement about the new fight addition on Tuesday.

After stringing together three wins in a row, Antonio Banuelos (17-6) came up short in his last fight out against Scott Jorgensen at the WEC pay-per-view in April. A longtime student of John Hackleman and Chuck Liddell, Banuelos will try to re-insert himself into the bantamweight contender picture with a win in September.

Opposing Banuelos will be Chad George (11-5) who is also looking to bounce back from a recent loss to Scott Jorgensen.

The California based fighter had been on a six fight win streak before suffering one of the most vicious standing guillotine submissions at the hands of Jorgensen in March. George will hope to get back to his previous form when he faces Banuelos in September.

The bout between Banuelos and George is expected to occupy part of the untelevised portion of the broadcast headlined by WEC featherweight champion Jose Aldo defending his belt against Manny Gamburyan.
