Brooklyn born Angela Hill made her way on The Ultimate Fighter 20 with a 1-0 professional record. She was likely a member of the “A Champion Will Be Crowned” cast primarily for her personality and striking-based fighting style.
Hill (4-2) was eliminated from the completion during the preliminary round by eventual winner Carla Esparza. She won her promotional debut, but lost her next two fights to contenders Tecia Torres and Rose Namajunas.
After suffering back-to-back losses, Hill made her debut in the all-female fight promotion Invicta Fighting Championships. She’s finished both of her opponents by knockout, and hopes she is well on her way to earning her way back to the UFC.
“Invicta has treated me pretty well. I think the end-goal is to get in the UFC. My goal right now is to make them want me. I think I need to get just a little more hype behind me, and knocking out more girls is going to help that,” said Hill during her Invicta FC 16 backstage interview after knocking out Stephanie Eggink.
While Hill awaits a call from the UFC, she wants a shot at the Invicta FC strawweight title held by Livia Renata Souza.
“I think the next step is I want a title shot, and hopefully Invicta will be willing to give me one,” she said. “Once I get there, I think they [UFC] will come crawling back to me.”
