Zach Makovsky Says UFC Has a Lot of Great Fighters, but Bellator Has Its Fair Share (Video)

March 18, 2012

It’s a common misconception that the UFC is the only MMA promotion with any top notch fighters, and Bellator bantamweight champion Zach Makovsky knows this all too well.

Makovsky, who defends his belt at Bellator 65, admits that most of the top fighters in the world are probably in the UFC, but that doesn’t mean that Bellator doesn’t have their own great athletes as well.

Makovsky can’t worry too much about all of that though, because his focus has to be on fighting and getting better during training.

If all of that happens, the world will soon know his name through his performances.

Check out this video interview with Zach Makovsky:

  1. I would like to see Bellator get better athletes on their roster and start competing with the UFC in the near future. However, at this point in time it is still a second rate promotion with sub par competition as well as second rate production. A lot of work needs to be done at Bellator to progress as a company.

  2. Does it really make a difference? UFC will wait for Bellator to develop its fighters and then it’ll just either buy out Bellator and absorb it, or crush Bellator by giving the better of the Bellator fighters offers that they won’t refuse.
