PRIDE has announced this weekend that Naoya Ogawa will fight against Hidehiko Yoshida on December 31st for their New Year’s Eve show.
Yoshida comes into the fight with a 5-3 record and had a nice win over Tank Abbott at Pride Conflict last August. Ogawa is 7-1 in mixed martial arts and his only loss came at the hands of Fedor Emelianenko last year.
PRIDE will once again battle rival K-1 for an audience on NYE. It’s believed this match up will be a big draw for local viewers. Remember K-1 is also headlining a couple of Japanese fighters as well, as Genki Sudo is fighting Kid Yamamoto for the Lightweight belt. K-1 also has a couple of other Japanese fighters competing on the card as well.
