World Victory Road returns on June 8 with the third installment of Sengoku. The event will be held for the first time at the Saitama Super Arena.
Japanese fan favorite Hidehiko Yoshida will return to fight former UFC heavyweight champion Maurice Smith. The gold medalist Judoka has lost his last three fights including a recent submission defeat to Josh Barnett at the inaugural Sengoku show. Smith has fought only twice since the year 2000, but won bouts over Marco Ruas and Rick Roufus.
“The Hitman” Kazuo Misaki faces WEC and UFC veteran Logan Clark in middleweight action. The former Pride Grand Prix Champion is coming off of submission victory over Shooto Champion Siyar Bahadurzada at Sengoku 1. Clark last defeated Scott Harper at WEC 33 in March.
Also, heavyweight Pride veteran Choi Mu Bae takes on former ADCC Champion and UFC veteran Marcio “Pa de Pano” Cruz. The Korean wrestler is coming off a big knock out win over Gary Goodridge. Cruz has not fought since last June where he was victorious via disqualification in the IFL.
