Tonight will mark a milestone for World Extreme Cagefighting as they are set to make their nationwide television debut on the Versus network.
To start the night off, the first episode of WEC Wreckage will air as a lead-in to the live two-hour telecast of WEC 28 featuring WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber defending his title against Total Combat veteran Chance Farrar. Other fighters scheduled to air on the live telecast include UFC veterans Mark Hominick and Alex Karalexis.
On the first episode of WEC Wreckage, fights that are scheduled to air include the WEC Welterweight Championship bout between Carlos Condit and John Alessio from WEC 26 and Urijah Faber defending his WEC Featherweight Championship for the first time against Pride veteran Joe Pearson from WEC 25. Other fights from WEC 26 include Brian Stann taking on Steve Cantwell, UFC veteran Tiki Ghosn squaring off against Dave Terrel and UFC veteran Brock Larson taking on Erik Apple.
The second episode of WEC Wreckage is scheduled to premiere on June 6 with four fights planned to air on the telecast. A WEC Lightweight Championship bout between “Razor” Rob McCullough and Kit Cope headlines the episode. Other bouts include Urijah Faber defending his WEC Featherweight Championship against Dominic Cruz from WEC 26, up and comers Micah Miller and Jesse Moreng battling it out in a bout from WEC 26 and UFC veteran Alex Karalexis meets Olaf Alonso in a fight from WEC 25 to round out the telecast.
