Since his debut in World Extreme Cagefighting, “The Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit has been on a tear, pulling off three impressive victories, most recently defending his welterweight title by submitting Brock Larson in the first round.
With a longer layoff than originally expected between shows for the WEC, Condit is now slated to return in early February to defend his title as confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by sources close to the fighter.
While no definite date has been determined, early February is the expected time for the next show for the promotion.
Condit is riding an overall six-fight win streak, which includes his championship win and successive title defense.
Known as one of the deadliest strikers in the entire 170-pound weight class, Condit has recently shown his ground skills by submitting four of his last six opponents.
No opponent has yet been named as a challenger to the defending WEC welterweight champion, but with the Dec. 12 show just around the corner, it is likely the organization will make an announcement soon.
