Wanderlei Silva is a legendary figure in the sport of mixed martial arts, but he’s fallen on hard times in the latter portion of his career. Just 2-4 since making the move to the Octagon, UFC president Dana White has called upon Silva to hang up his gloves and call it a day.

Silva’s just not ready for that, however. And when fellow Brazilian Vitor Belfort had to bow out of his UFC 139 bout against former Strikeforce champion Cung Le, Silva was more than willing to step in on a moment’s notice.
He believes that all he has to do is fix some of his mistakes and he’ll be right back to the dominating ways of old. That remains to be seen, but Silva is a believer and recently talked at length about accepting the fight against Le at UFC 139.
