Events are underway in Las Vegas, Nev. as Pride readies for their second U.S. show, The Second Coming, Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center. As part of the pre-fight festivities, they have been holding open training sessions and public appearances for the fans in attendance.

Pride Middleweight Champion Wanderlei Silva, although he didn’t work out, made a public appearance to answer fans’ questions and take photos. Of course, when Wanderlei is asked about fighting, the inevitable questions about Chuck Liddell surface. And yes, Wanderlei still wants to fight Liddell, but he couldn’t answer why the fight hasn’t come together. Well, Pride USA producer Jerry Millen could. “Dana White is why the fight is not happening. He won’t put up or shut up!”

Following Wanderlei’s appearance, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua took to the ring to work out with several other Chute Boxe fighters including Jorge Oliveira, who is scheduled to fight on the March WEC event against Doug Marshall. Shogun worked out for a while on his striking game; then followed up with some groundwork before taking to the mic to talk about his fight Saturday night.
