Vladdy Matyushenko Steps in to Face Matt Hamill at UFC 152

Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC 103An injury has forced Canadian Roger Hollett off the upcoming UFC 152 card, so Vladdy Matyushenko has stepped in to face Matt Hamill in Toronto.

UFC officials announced the change on Monday.

Matt Hamill will return to action after more than a year away from the sport following his retirement in 2011.

Matyushenko will return to action after a loss to Alexander Gustafsson in his last fight from UFC 141 last December.

The veteran fighter will look to get back on track when he faces Hamill in Toronto as part of the UFC 152 undercard.

  3. Always love seeing Vladdy step up to anyone..He’s still a beast at 41.

  4. The thing is, when the card is on FOX (not necessarily FX or Fuel), it is the equivalent of any other major sporting event to them. I would have to guess that’s why they put big names on it… bc they are getting paid to do so big time.

  5. Wasn’t Matt Hamil also on this card because he was filling in for an injured fighter?
