UFC fighter and Oklahoma City police officer Matt Grice has been labeled a “walking miracle” by his doctors after surviving and recovering from a devastating car crash.

Grice was admitted to the Oklahoma University Medical Center in critical condition in early September following a car accident in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. The accident occurred while he was off duty and sitting at a red light on Sept. 8, when another car slammed into the back of his vehicle.

He was rushed to the medical center where he underwent brain surgery that night. Doctor’s removed a large piece of Grice’s skull in that initial operation then replaced that portion of his skull during a December operation.

Now, Grice is focused on getting better for his family, but hasn’t yet ruled out a possible return to the Octagon if it wouldn’t threaten his ability to be there for his family.

I’m sure the driver that hit him is thanking his lucky stars as much as Grice is that he pulled through. I couldn’t imagine living with that, knowing you killed someone because you took something like driving safely for granted.

It’s nice to see a rare miracle like this.
