I recognise this guy is making a lot of money from Jones but how could the UFC not strip him of the title? A standard has to be set. Just because you’re the best shouldn’t mean you can do an act as you please.

    • George Sperry

Okay what is the standard and when was it set?

      • Drock420

        Code of conduct.

  • Ian Price

I totally see the UFC stripping him of the title. Look, this isn’t the first time he’s been in trouble. Or the 2nd. ….. Or the 3rd.

  • Ian Price

Also, he’s lucky he’s not banned for life. Somebody cracks somebody else after the bell rings…. Banned for life. But Jones hit a mere mortal civilian and possibly left them to die. This is different.

    • TheCerealKiller

“Also, he’s lucky he’s not banned for life.”

He hasn’t broken a single rule of the sport. You moral warriors need to go away.

      • Zartan The Destroyer

        HI MALKI!

      • earlsimmons

        Code of conduct. Learn it.

      • greaseygranny

I don’t give a turd what sport you’re in. DWI’s, caught snorting cocaine and then caught running from the scene of an accident (hitting a prego women no less), there will be harsh consequences. Anyone to think different is a retard. What kind of sober human runs back to the car to grab cash. Guys a mess and deserves EVERYTHING he has gotten. Period. Chuck Liddell partied his ass off. I know this for fact. Never saw him doing this stupid crap. He got caught babbling on a talk show all banged up, blamed it on sleep meds and you NEVER saw him like that again. How many shots does this dummy deserve? There is a reason everyone hates the guy. He’s fake.

        • TheCerealKiller

NFL doesn’t ban people for manslaughter. Let the justice system deal with him, then back in the cage.

      • Dwayne

You have been commenting on moral aspects as well, but generally support JJ, so you can put yourself right in that moral warrior boat too you ignorant hypocrite.

        • TheCerealKiller

          I like you, you’re fun.
I support the law doing it’s job and the UFC doing it’s job. The two should not cross paths.

          • earlsimmons

UFC did do its job. Jones signed code of conduct UFC can do whatever they want since he violated it. How is this not sinking in yet?

      • earlsimmons

        Code of Conduct.

  • Zartan The Destroyer

    OK Kakatard

  • Darin

If you happened to scroll down to the comments before suffering through the video, let me paraphrase it for you: Malki Kawa – “Uhhhh…(some bulls—)…….ummmmmm…….(more bulls—)…………ahhhhhhhhh (yet more bulls—)”

I don’t believe this guy could “manage” to pass a GED test, let alone manage million dollar contracts. I must’ve picked the wrong career if this is all it takes to qualify as a UFC champ’s manager.

Getting Kawa’s opinion is pointless. Of course he doesn’t think his cash cow should be benched. I imagine his opinion would be a bit different if he were managing Anthony Johnson right now, and not Boner.

  • Zartan The Destroyer

    Kawa is a leech

  • Andrew X

Lol at the people defending this dog.
So what if he hasn’t “broken a rule of the sport”?
He ran down a pregnant woman in his car, then left them for dead.
Prick should go away for attempted double homicide or omission or somes—. He left to save his own ass, knowing they would likely die without any help.
What if it was your pregnant sibling, parent or partner that this prick ran down? I’m sure you would think twice about defending such a pathetic excuse for a human life.
Any business organisation with a shred of decency would fire an oxygen thief like that as soon as possible.
I know I wouldn’t want my business associated with somebody with a blatant lack of moral duty.

chael was right. bones vs rumble is never going to happen. maybe its a kind of starting up a comeback right away as we are conceirning about the outcome of the whole story.
i think its going to be like this:
bones is out for about 2 years and enters the hw division right away and will add another legendary stuff into his biography.
i think the ufc missed to take care of him. its not the first time jones gets into trouble. to strip his title may help the ufc to keep their hands clean but i have the feeling this could have gone different ways if the ufc would have reacted more early.
but the most annoying thing to me is BONES vs RUNBLE is never going to happen…. not any time soon….
    damn on you chaell sonnen

Speaking as a lawyer and consultant I must say all this talk about felony is overboard. I respect each state right to determine their own morality in jones case however, we clearly see that his actions were provocked by hedonism and a false sense of invinsibility common to people with high status and or position. In no way we see a clear intent to harm or affect one of the victims rights wich is in my opinion a requirement for a felony or do you really think that hurting somebody accidentaly while intoxicated is equal to rape or murder?. Im not saying that Jones didnt do anything wrong or that he shoudnt be punished, all Im saying is that we should be objective about about it and punish him accordly.

On a personal level now: I think UFC should have waited at least until his trial and sentence before stripping him of the title. He worked hard for this title and has been the greatest champion UFC had he should have lost that belt on the ring not on a press conference made to avoid the media bomb.

    • TheCerealKiller

These guys think he was driving around with cocaine up his nose aiming for a pregnant woman.
Only question I have about the whole thing, why was he driving a rental?

      • earlsimmons

Can you prove he didnt have coke up his nose? O thats right he took off running and hid.

        • TheCerealKiller

          Innocent until proven guilty.

          • earlsimmons

….that has nothing to do with my post. I asked if you could prove he didnt have coke because your claiming he didnt. Just wondering where your getting your facts from and if youd like to share them. That has nothing to do with innocence or guilt your making claims you cant back up bro.

  • KJK

The UFC had no choice…..the get out of jail free cards have all been used.
Q: Corporate sponsorship or keep Jones?
    A: Bye Jon!
    Reason: $$$$$

  • TheCerealKiller

So what you’re saying is that you don’t watch professional sports? Because they are all littered with people 100 times worse than anything Jones has done.

Go take a look at that list and how many are still playing.

Leonard Little – St. Louis Rams involuntary manslaughter, sentenced three months[31]involved in fatal car crash while intoxicated. Still played ten more years and was busted 2 more times for DUI in 2003 & 2004.

    • Dwayne

So?? You listing a litany of disgraceful; illegal and dangerous behaviour that may or may not be worse than Jon Jones means what? Jones gets a free pass of causing harm to others, drugs UNTIL he what? Kills somebody perhaps? Even then, I’m sure you will be still making excuses for him, as long it’s not you that is hurt, then that’s a whole other ball game.
People like you are exactly why Jones end up breaking bone via his vehicle then hot footing it out of there. No need for accountability when he has people telling him nothing is his fault and even if it is, there’s people who have done worse than him.
I was going to say you would be singing a different tune it was your wife, daughter or family in that car, but then I don’t think you would. You’d probably be chasing down Jones for an autograph while waiting for the paramedics!
You sound like your a Bieber fan, they tend to have the same outlook as you and the same level of fan fever..

      • TheCerealKiller

My favorite band is Skinny Puppy. Has nothing to do with this.

What if your job fired you for getting a DUI and it had nothing to do with your job. Would you be okay with it?

        • earlsimmons

If i signed a code of conduct then my employer would have every right.

Do you know what I’m trying to say? Does that make sense? Do you know what I mean? You know? You know what mean? You know? You know?
