It was revealed on Tuesday that Chael Sonnen failed a recent out-of-competition drug test in Nevada. The failure stems from his transition from legally being on a testosterone replacement therapy regimen to having to train and fight without it now that TRT has been banned.

It’s a complex situation with a lot of moving parts and Sonnen is mired in the muck as he has tried to make the transition, as he failed the UFC 175 drug  test for banned substances along the way.

He appeared on America’s Pregame to try and explain the situation from his side of the coin.

Yawn… Have not got time to listen, sorry Chael…
I would have more respect for him if he actually stated his opinion: “everyone should be allowed to use Testosterone and HGH if they choose. Their body, their choice.”
For reasons of fairness, fighters should be tested after every fight, but only for reference purposes (i.e. after a dominant win, it comes out that the winner had twice the T levels of his opponent, instead of reversing the win, you just add an asterisk to the result).
