Continuing with our MMAWeekly Radio build-up for the World Extreme Cagefighting, we’ve already featured WEC matchmaker Scott Adams and welterweight title challengers Carlos Condit and John Alessio, we now bring in current WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber.

Faber is probably the most successful featherweight fighter in the world. With a 17-1 record and riding a 9-fight winning streak, Faber steps into the cage this Saturday night at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev. to defend his title once again. This time, he faces Dominic Cruz, a fighter that has an impressive 9-0 record of his own, but will be taking a big step up in competition to face Faber.

Also joining the Radio Show tonight is Shawn Tompkins. Initially an assistant coach for Bas Rutten’s L.A. Anacondas of the International Fight League, Tompkins has been tapped to take over the team as the head coach with Rutten stepping down and moving into the broadcast booth. Rutten has been a mentor to Tompkins, who has spent his entire life in the martial arts both as a competitor and a trainer to fighters like Mark Hominick, Sam Stout, Krzysztof Soszynski, and Chris Horodecki.

Both Faber and Tompkins join Damon & Jeff LIVE tonight at 6pm PT / 9pm ET on MMAWeeklyRadio.com.
