LAS VEGAS, NV (Aug. 23, 2005) –The Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) today announced it is the leader of the Yahoo! Buzz Index, ranking number one with an overall score of 244. UFC had increased its score by +154 in the last 24 hours to achieve this position.
In addition, the ufc.tv web site recorded a combined total of more than 45 million hits in the days following UFC 54: BOILING POINT and the premiere of Season II of Spike TV’s The Ultimate Fighter™. The event, which featured Chuck Liddell scoring a sensational fourth round TKO of Jeremy Horn, was held live in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday, August 20, 2005. The first episode of The Ultimate Fighter Season II aired nationwide Monday, August 22, 2005 at 11:05pm ET/PT on Spike TV.

A subject’s buzz score is the percentage of users searching for that subject on a given day. For buzz movers, the number displayed is the percentage increase in the subject’s buzz score from the previous day.
