The fighters for Saturday’s “The Ultimate Fighter Season 12” finale weighed in Friday afternoon at The Palms Casino Resort on Friday in Las Vegas.
The two Season 12 Ultimate Fighter finalists, Michael Johnson and Jonathan Brookins, had no trouble making weight.
Johnson stepped on the scale first, tipping in at 156 pounds, while Brookins, black calf-high socks and all, weighed in at 154 pounds. Both are members of George St-Pierre’s team.
Season 1 veteran Stephan Bonnar comes full circle in the co-main event to face Team Cro Cop’s Igor Pokrajac. Bonnar recently bounced back from a three-fight skid, and will be looking to build up some momentum. Pokrajac is in much the same boat, sending James Irvin packing with a victory in his last bout, following back-to-back losses.
Bonnar and Pokrajac each weighed in at 205 pounds.
The only trouble on the scale was on the preliminary portion of the fight card. Nick Pace weighed in at 138 pounds for his 135-pound bout with Will Campuzano. Campuzano stepped on the scale at 136 pounds, which is within the one-pound tolerance for a non-title fight. Pace was given two hours to lose an additional two pounds.
